Past or present what designers have influenced you most?
My boss in New York Naomi Leff had an enormous influence on me. David Hicks has hugely influenced me and my work – it is timeless and classic, but adventurous in color and boldness.
How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is classic, comfortable contemporary. I love clean, simplicity with elements of strong art and well placed antiques.
What is your favorite luxury in life?
My favorite luxury in life is sipping Silver Oak Cellars Cabernet next to a roaring fire in my living room in Napa during the winter wrapped in a warm Loro Piana cashmere throw and reading. I just finished Quick, Before the Music Starts by Janet Carlson of Town and Country magazine.
What is your most prized possession?
My most prized possession is my Andy Warhol “Flowers” silk screen in electric colors. Wait, does my most prized possession include my wonderful son, Malcolm?

Who are your style icons?
My style icons are carried by David Gill of David Gill galleries in London. He has furniture created as art by Mattia Bonetti and Zaha Hadid.
What is the one thing in life you can’t live without?
I cannot live without peace of mind. It allows me to be creative and content.
How do you see the Internet changing interior design?
The Internet has changed interior design drastically. Through the Internet the whole world is connected – sharing, discovering, learning…. and all at your fingertips.

Name three manufacturer brands on Decorati that you use in your design?
Three manufactures brands on Decorati that I use frequently in my designs are Studio Printworks – their wallpaper patterns are chic and crazy fun, Inner Gardens – beautiful plant containers, Vivre – I really love just about everything they have.
