As one of New York’s preeminent antique houses, Agostino Antiques has built its impeccable reputation by bringing only the finest examples of 18th and 19th century English and Continental antiques to the marketplace. Our access to private sources both at home and abroad has given us the opportunity to satisfy a vast array of the worlds most revered interior designers as well as our private collectors.

In 1978, Agostino Trupiano, a skilled furniture restorer and the manager of a restoration workshop, opened his first showroom on the Upper East Side of New York City. Now under the direction of a second generation of Trupianos, his company has been one of New York’s premiere sources for both antiques and reproductions for twenty years. Agostino still oversees all day-to-day restoration and reproduction operations of our workrooms, ensuring that quality is paramount in all our offerings.

Today, Agostino Antiques offers a vast array of goods, including an extensive line of English dining chairs and tables, breakfronts, cabinets, dramatic consoles, and unusual gaming tables. In addition, Agostino Antiques introduced a line of chinoisserie decorated English furniture, as well as a line of painted furniture and seating, each piece painstakingly hand-painted by gifted artists in our atelier.

Each piece of our extensive line of reproductions tells the story of one of the extraordinary antiques that have passed through our hands over the last 25 years. For the dealer who only offers the finest antiques available, parting with outstanding discoveries may be the most difficult part of the job. Our reproduction line has provided us with a means of recording our finds for posterity. By creating an archive of our greatest discoveries, we have been fortunate in sharing our rarest finds with our clients.
