Roadmap to Success: Designers are your GPS
By Envi by Design
With all of the accessibility that consumers have in today’s design market, many people question whether hiring an Interior Designer is either necessary or within their means. The reality is that Designers are both approachable and essential!
First, hiring a Designer can help you to avoid costly mistakes by providing solutions that enhance the fixed assets in your home or commercial building. With that said, working with a designer helps take the guess work out of, “What are the architectural assets in a given space?” or “How can I create my dream atmosphere?” Many people know what it is that they don’t want and may have some idea about what they do want but have trouble envisioning the big picture and how to achieve it.
Working with an ASID affiliated Designer, such as Envi By Design, is a benefit because we are in tune with the trade’s principles and practices. It is our job to be on top of trends before they hit the mainstream while also staying with classic elements that stand the test of time. For a first time client, patience is essential. When you choose the right Designer they deconstruct the process so that you understand where you are in the process. From design development to procurement, there are many details that your Designer will handle for you. The process is a delicate balance of knowing what your time line is, who the key stakeholders are, and what the final outcome should be. Executing these main points for the client will determine a successful project. We stand beside our clients throughout the entire process. Another benefit to working with a designer is that we prioritize client needs and wants to achieve design goals within their time frame and financial budget. Phasing a home or business gives you the opportunity to create something unique, while segmenting the work that it is affordable.
If you have never worked with a Designer before it can be intimidating! We recommend staying open to the design process and embracing the relationship. We are here to create your space and partner with you! Trust your designer, value their time, and be open and honest about what you want. It’s a two way street! Your Designer can often be your ally when working with trades, a mediator between a husband and wife/business partners and a liaison for the industries latest, greatest products and design. We are educated, experienced, and enjoy making our clients happy! We like to tell our clients that we are like your GPS- we provide the road map and plan so that your party will reach the final destination while enjoying a smooth ride.
