Once an indispensible feature of any lady’s boudoir, the vanity or dressing table is a small, mirrored desk made for the ‘preparation of the toilette.’ Modern trends have swung towards smaller dressing areas and larger bathrooms for primping– but the bedroom vanity, despite its old-fashioned airs, has not lost its utility or appeal as a luxurious designated area for hairdressing and makeup application.
